Sky Covington's Preservation of Jazz Announces the 2026 Monday Night Music Series: Tributes A Celebration of Legendary Artists, Timeless Music, and Detroit's Rich Cultural Legacy Detroit, Michigan — Detroit's premier live tribute concert series, Sky Covington's Preservation of Jazz: Monday Night Music Series – Tributes, proudly announces its highly anticipated 2026 season at Aretha's Jazz Café at Music Hall. Produced and curated by internationally acclaimed jazz vocalist Sky Covington, the Preservation of Jazz has become one of Detroit's signature cultural experiences, presenting sold-out performances that honor the legendary voices and visionaries who have shaped jazz, soul, rhythm & blues, funk, and American music. Each Monday evening offers far more than a concert. Guests are immersed in an evening of live music, documentary presentations, artist storytelling, and opportunities to meet the performers following each show. "These tributes are more than performances," says Sky Covington. The Preservation of Jazz continues to build meaningful partnerships throughout Detroit's creative community. The series is presented in collaboration with Aretha's Jazz Café, Café Chronicles, Gwen Foxx Entertainment, and Woodbridge Pub, strengthening a shared commitment to preserving Detroit's rich musical heritage.
